What stays on your device, how purchases and support are handled, and how to contact us about your information.

The short version
- The numbers and dates you type into the free check stay in your browser. They are never sent to us, to the payment provider or to the email service. The personalised report is built in your browser from those same entries.
- You can use the free check without sending us your name, address or lease. Any name or notes you add to a letter stay in your browser too.
- If you buy, Stripe handles payment and billing details, and we process the email address and order details needed to deliver your purchase. If you email us for help, we receive your message and anything you include.
- Site analytics and renewal-checklist email signup are not currently enabled.

This policy describes how we handle information when you use the site, buy a product or contact us.
What we collect, and why

The links we email contain an order reference and an expiry date. They contain nothing about your tenancy.
What stays in the free check
Your rent, postcode, dates, name, notes and other free-check entries stay in your browser. There is no lease or document upload in the check. The personalised report is also built on your device.
If you choose to email any of these details or a document to us, we receive them as part of your support correspondence. Full payment card numbers go directly to Stripe; the RenterRescue website does not receive them.
Where it is stored
Our providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Their own privacy policies describe how they handle that information.
How long we keep it
- Download and report links expire after 90 days.
- We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to answer your enquiry, resolve order issues and meet legal recordkeeping obligations.
- Order records are kept by Stripe under its own policy and as tax law requires.
- Data in your browser stays until you clear it. The free check has a button to clear your inputs.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@renterrescue.com.au. We reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Analytics and marketing emails
Plausible Analytics is not currently configured, and renewal-checklist signup and its marketing email series are not available. We will update this policy to explain any analytics collection or marketing signup before enabling it. Buying a product or emailing support does not sign you up for marketing emails.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. We will not start collecting tool entries or tenancy information without changing how the product works and telling you first.
